Boom lifts

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience repairing or maintaining boom lifts? I'm awaiting delivery of a Genie TZ34/20 (towable boom lift) that I suspect will require some repairs. In doing a quick online search, it seems all the parts cost insane amounts of $$$.

A couple of questions...
1) Are the hydraulic cylinders/valves/pumps/solenoids/etc on this machine all Genie specific, or can other (less costly) brands be substituted?
2) Does anyone know of a fairly priced parts supplier?

I'm on the hunt for a similar unit or a 4x4 driven unit. Where did you find yours? They aren't cheap!
