Bolens G1704 transmission

hi guys, I have a G1704 with the hydro which all of a sudden stopped working. When I let the clutch out all I hear is a grinding noise in the area of the transmission. Any ideas ?? Do I really have to remove the hydraulic lines to access the last two bolts on the transmission top cover?? Anyone have a spare or know of one ??. I'm in northeast pa. Do you mean G-174,I have the exact same tractor,and mine is standard with a clutch,I'm not too sure if this tractor came with a hydro,if it was a hydro I don't think it have a clutch,but what would I know this bein' my first compact tractor ,even though I've owed it for the past 3 years>>>>Ampa

There is a splined coupler between the clutch shaft 7 transmission inout shaft. Sounds like you have some stripped splines. We can supply the correct parts
