My Bobcat CT225 3 point hitch leaks down after the engine is cut off and the rear lift is jerky. It leaks down with the speed knob fully closed. I just purchased the tractor so I don't know its history except it was mainly used to mow with using a rotary mower. Thanks for any ideas.

Probably bad seals / rings on the internal cylinder. Relatively easy repair. How old is the tractor? Maybe still under warranty?

I just had my 3pt apart for a different reason so it's fresh in my mind. It took me 30 minutes to fix the problem and about 4 hours to remove things to get at it. It's easy to change the seals once you get access to the cylinder, but depending on how your tractor goes together it could be quite a project to get at it. I would check all the linkages really well before you take things apart. My neighbor's JD had a similar problem and it turned out to be the connection point between the 3pt lever and the rod for the control valve that operates the 3pt. The lever was not really turning the rod but there was enough friction that it kind of moved it. Didn't cost him anything to fix it because the parts that fell off were laying on the sheet metal under the seat. Hopefully your fix is as easy.

Check out this thread https://tractorbynet.com/forums/thr...the-seat-valve-speed-adjustment.260641/page-2

Had a similar issue with mine years ago, popped out the MLS valve, found a small chunk of gasket material in it, removed it popped it back in all is good. Might be worth checking the torque on the bolts going to the trans housing while you have the seat off.

My lift has been fixed! I removed the MLS valve and replaced all the seals. Now the lift arms stay up after the tractor engine has been shut off. Thanks for all the suggestions!
