Something seems to be stuck open. It is free falling down. Have you talked to a bobcat dealer or mechanic?

no, i haven't talk to a mechanic yet, i'm trying to find the problem after getting some info here with you guys before i take it there. could a house leak cause this issue?

I am wondering if the cylinder rod o rings have failed. Have you tried lifting a load? Seems it can lift itself but not hold. That indicates failed o rings inside the cylinder.

That indicates failed o rings inside the cylinder.

Dave I don't think so. The fact that it falls faster after cylinder has fully retracted suggests the problem lies elsewhere. Of course it is possible that the cylinder packing is leaking as well, in that case there are two problems. I would focus on a valve problem before considering the cylinder packing to be worn out. Stoneandbrick I would ask on the forum too (before going to a professional) because you can better assess the diagnosis (or the cost ). It may cost less if you can find the problem yourself. But if that machine needs to make money now, you may be losing (now).

Try posting your video in the Hydraulics section; maybe you can get the attn of J_J. You might mention the number of hours on the machine.
