And to stay on track concerning deuce, in the background is an example of a 2 1/2T Shop Van. Could be used for a large variety of duties. I had five of them in my Company, one for each Platoon. Used them as Mobile Post Offices.

The 2 1/2 ton and 5 ton I knew in the 60's had almost the same body style, bet were easy to identify at a distance. The 2 1/2 front wheel is very close to center under the fender. The 5 ton wheel is about 1/3 of the way back from the front. And the named tonnage was for off-road. On-road was double, IIRC.
