Bob-Tach Backhoe - Hydraulic issue - HELP!

I just bought a Bobcat bob-tach backhoe at auction and to my not so big surprise it's not working - but now I have to figure out why. The complicating factor about this attachment is that it has the ability to swing left or right which requires an electrical auxiliary connection( which I have on my skid steer) and it's currently 48 deg to right. When I engage the aux pump i see the lines moving (implying flow) however there seems to the a junction point that the hoses go into and then separate hoses come out to power the pistons. A rudimentary depiction would be such: Aux hydraulic hose --------------(Junction box on backhoe)-----------hose to hydraulic cylinder. While I'm no heavy machinery mechanic I was hoping there might be an 'off switch' or hydraulic shut off valve that they engaged while shipping the unit to auction. Anyway, I would appreciate your wisdom on this matter as I have several projects lined up for this attachment and winter is fast approaching.

Clarification:
The electrical wire on the attachment is for swing left and right.
The hydraulic hoses are for bucket curl.

My question is why can't I get the bucket to curl? The bucket curl should be independent of the aux. electrical wire

Since this is an attachment running off of the auxiliary hydraulics I would suspect that it also requires an electrical control box to go with it for controlling the dig, dump & swing functions.

Hi Oldnslo - I'm not too familiar with these types of issues - was wondering if hydraulic cylinders have some kind of manual override?

Could you be fighting a can bus system for controlling the solenoids? Removing the original wiring and running your own power to the solenoids may solve if that is what is causing the fit...could be wrong though.

APT,
A couple of questions for you on how your machine operates.
1) Will the auxiliary hydraulics on your 751 operate a grapple without any external valves? I.e. built in directional valve on the 751.
2) How many hoses are connected to the back hoe attachment. From the picture it appears to be two but not 100% sure of this.

If the answer is yes to both questions then you may have to release the auxiliary function for the curl function to operate. Also suspect that for the swing to change direction you have to also operate the directional valve on your skid steer. Also suspect the auxiliary valve would also be used to control the bucket on the back hoe.

If you leave the auxiliary function off will the curl dump feature work?
