blue spots appearing

I have a 1997 John Deere 1070 FWD with only 230 hours that looks like new and has always been kept inside most of the time. Lately though I've noticed some small blue spots in the paint in various places. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or some input on what this could possibly be from. Sure has me puzzled

Yellow and blue make green.

I am guessing your 14 year old tractor has spent a fair amount of that time sitting out in the sun. The sun is what is turning your JD blue. It is breaking down the yellow pigment in the paint and leaving behind the blue.

I have seen happen it at the JD plant that I worked at with some slow moving rotary hoe tool bars produced in Mexico back in 2004. They were only 3 years old but there was a paint problem that was discovered and that problem was fixed and it went away.

That's what has me puzzled, it hasn't sit out hardly at all. The blue spots look like someone took a paint brush and splattered it,not really that noticeable unless you'll really looking for them,but just enough to bother me. LOL. Probably most people wouldn't even notice it or think anything of it. In fact it would be hard to find a 1070 that looked this good.

I have the same tractor (mine only had 280 hrs when I got it last fall, we may have two of the most pristine 1070's on the forum, lol) try taking a buffing wheel to it but be careful as you may eat right through the paint. You may want to try some light compound by hand first.
