Blows fuses

cub cadet 3235
Need some help with a 3235 cub mower its got a kholer 23 horse motor.
Main fuse blows after it runs for a minute, I can disconnect the voltage regulator it it runs fine. I replaced the voltage regulator thinking that was the problem, not so, Anybody have any ideas im open to all and ready to listen.

You may have a grounded wire somewhere. If you have an ohmmeter (multimeter), you could disconnect the positive battery cable, attach the ohmmeter to the wire going to the fuse and shake, rattle and roll all the cables etc. to see if you see any deflection of the meter. If everything like PTO, lights, ignition etc. are turned off I would expect to see no resistance under 1000 ohms.

Thanks for the help I'll give it a try and see what I find.

Found the culprit: A screw that was thought to be lost some years ago made its way behind the flywheel and conveniently found a nice little resting place between two of the posts on the stator and with the vibration of the engine it would short out and blow the fuse at any given time.
