For years I faithfully used compressed air to blow of mowers and equipment after use. I just discovered that my 4 stroke Makita leaf blower works better and faster. The bonus is, that I don't have to be near my shop either.

We use an ancient old Toro electric with about half of the plastic housing busted off. Keep it right by the basement garage door ready for use. Wife got in a rush last grass mowing (it was a week past due, tall, thick, and wet) and then parked the mower outside under the shed instead of in the garage, so it DIDN'T get blown off as usual. She later moved it into the garage. Since she was now out of her usual routine, she forgot to blow it off. Did you know that a 50" deck full of soggy, rotting grass can really stink up a garage?

You wonder that no one has made a stainless deck. A stainless BBQ (with the exception of the grill) makes no sense to me whatsoever, but a stainless mower deck, now your talking about something usefull and worth paying for!

My routine is to start the Stihl blower to clean up and hit the ZTR first.

A blower is great for getting the bulk off the deck, quick blow of clippings off cooling fins etc but no where near as good as compressed air when it comes to heavy dust in radiators, coolers, tight spots in and around the engine, around hydros etc on ztrs.
I'd recommend both a compressed air and a left blower. Blower for the quick blow, compressed for the more serious clean out!

I use my compressor at 175psi with a 1/4 air nozzle to blow my equipment off.
It works great for the mowers & under deck areas. It also works great at blowing the snow off my tractor and snow blower after I use it before I bring it into the garage.
I also use it to clean snow from the cars when I need to work on them..

Actually I found the blower to work better on the rad of my cushman. Stuff gets caught between the rad and the oil cooler. The blower just seems to create more air pressure over a larger area.
