I purchased a screw-in block heater manufactured by Kats for a 2016 L2501 Kubota. I cannot figure out where it goes. Am I blind or is the 2016 engine redesigned and Kats hasn't realized it yet ?

I don't know for sure so take this with a gain of salt. These standard L's uses the frost plugs. You remove one and insert the threaded part... DO NOT drill it out, there's a thread about someone having to re-build his block.

Does it look like this:

Teg is correct. The element is a soft plug type application. Order the part from your Kubota dealer.

I didn't get the large replacement for the frost plug, only the threaded element. Will check with the supplier. I didn't buy it from a Kubota dealer.

The cylinder walls are very close to the softplugs so the nipple is required for the element to have room for install.
