Hello
I know this thread already exist but after reading it and scouting my engine I'm puzzled :confused:someone posted photos of the installed block heater and in my block the place where the plug should be is sealed with no possibility of unscrewing it

Your engine looks like mine. I used a punch to turn the frost plug then I pulled it out to install the block heater. They don't unscew but you have to remove it to install the block heater.
Good luck with the install, it's not that bad.

Thanks for replay just two question -when you punch out the freezer plug dose it come out clean (i mean the edges or does one have to file the edges?) second question is since there is no thread how do you plug it in ? glue with epoxy? or dose it just sits there on it's own?
thx

Freeze plugs are normally glued in with Permatex or something like that. Some block heaters had a nut on them that is used to tighten the seating and hold it in place and other (I think) will require the glue method like a normal freeze plug, not sure which one you have. The function of the heater is to keep the coolant in the engine at a temperature that will allow easier starting which, in actuality, keep the oil from thickening up and restricting the movement of the internal engine parts. Check you heater to see which it is and go from there. There should be no dressing of the hole required other than sanding it a bit to clean off the original adhesive material from the seating portion.

Good luck.
