Well, in all my years living in Maryland I've never seen a white Christmas, and I've never seen so darn much snow! This storm today and yesterday left close to 30 inches, not sure what the official count at BWI is yet.

Best thing I ever did was order tire chains for my 4400. I bought them from tirechains.com. Ordered them Wednesday, and they showed up Friday when it was snowing. First off, these things are heavy! almost 80 pounds each. The first one took a while to get on, of course the second one was a snap. Traction is unbelievable. Before in any deep snow all I did was spin, not I got power to the wheels. Had to put it in low range for some of the plowing.

Here are a few pics from Davidsonville Maryland.

I'm in Clements Maryland and it's really amazing. It's not so much the size of the snowfall, but that it's so heavy.

I feel like I live in a Dr. Zhivago movie scene.

That last pic looks like "The Abominable Snow Dog"!!!! :D I would nickname him Yetti! Looks like you all are getting hammered up there. It was mostly sunny and about 53 here today, fat chance of snow for us. Looks like you are handling it as well as can though. At least you have some JD green working for you!

What kind of surface are you using them on? I boght a pair put them on, went down my asphalt driveway and left chain marks all the way. I can't use them because of that, I do 6 of my neighbors drives and can't leave those scuff marks behind. Any body want to buy a slightly used set of 2 link chains?

Ughhhh.... you had to ask.... The brown haired dog is an FLD. (Funny Looking Dog). Actually, he is a lab poodle mix. Don't anyone say it if you know what he is........ I had nothing to do with getting it, wifey got it when I was in Iraq, he was supposed to be a mean attack dog.... That he is not. But, he does not shed, and has turned out to be our best friend. He's got a great attitude, loves everyone and loves life.

Regarding the chains... Look the driveway needs sealing every couple of years. My chains are not leaving marks unless I spin, and I'd be doing a lot more spinning if I did not have those chains, I just could not get power to the tires. Now I can stall the 35 HP engine in mid range if I wanted to. This stuff is heavy too!
