Tractor
New Holland Boomer30, Case 235
Good day all,
I am fairly new at tractor ownership. I have a 2014 New Holland Boomer 30 that I just changed the fuel filter and the bleeding instructions are baffling. It says to bleed the fuel system, open the bleed screw at the pump until fuel flows air-free and then close the screw, that was a piece of cake. The problem is with the next step. All it says is "push the hand throttle to high speed position. Turn the engine over for a few seconds to bleed the high pressure fuel tubes." If I do exactly what it says there is not any valve open to bleed and the tractor is sure to start??? I'm I missing something here, my guess is yes.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Sorry the thread title should have the word "Holland" after the word "New."

By opening the throttle and cranking the engine over , the air is purged through the injector nozzles which you cannot see .

If it starts , you have no air .

Don't over think the process, do as the instructions say and it will work.

Ditto what DT86 stated. Congratulations for reading the instructions.

You should not have to bleed a high pressure fuel line on modern equipment. That is obsurd (sp?). Never even had to do it on our 1983 Benz. Changed the fuel filters numerous times in the 25 years we owned it, waiting (still waiting) for Benz to give us another stick shift.
