Mowing Blades for mower

Have you got a hacksaw?? Thats all it takes. If you don't have a vice to hold the bushing, hold it down on a block of wood with the FEL. If no FEL, put it between two boards and drive the tractor up on the boards.

I also cut my adapters with a hacksaw, no problem. They don't ned to be perfect. The Gater blades do a great job. Get them & you won't look back.

I just bought a set of gator magnums on ebay, I'll give them a shot before I go to the mulching kit. They aren't that expensive so it's worth a try to me.

Anyone know why the blades for my BX2200 RCK60B-22BX 60" mower cost about twice as much as the ones for a B series RCK60B-24B 60" deck? I was going to look for a high lift set for my deck when I saw maxqwest paid less then $12 per blade. A standard blade for mine is over $20 and I don't know if there is a high lift blade for this deck.

Many of the Kubota decks have different blades available for them. Some are original stock which is more money and then there are what I call the economy blades.

There is a difference in the part numbers as well as the price but I don't have them handy right now. Day time I can get them for you!

149's are great!

I am not sure about the bx 60 inch mmm,but fit the rck60-24b, (+1/8 inch) length and same hub size.I know the manual states 20.60 in. length, but they work off the metric system. My stock blades are 20 and 5/16 inches long the 70000-25011 high lift blades are 20 and 7/16 inches long,1/8 inch longer.Hub or hole size is 1 and 1/8 inch wide on both,1.125, .250 thick.I hope this may help. The high lift blades work great for me. $12.00 each works good too.

I followed volfandt's advice & ordered my gator blades last fall. I did not get around to installing them till a few weeks ago. I cut the bushings with my reciprocating saw, using the metal cutting blade. It wasn't a pretty site, but the end result works just fine.

And, yes, I like the cut.

I had saved Vonfandt's original post as a 'favorite post' & referred to it when ordering. What happened to the favorite post feature??? Guess I don't check out my TBN 'home' very often.

Add me to the list of folks who think Gator Blades are a wonderful thing! :D I also followed Volf advise on using the bushing from a cat 1-2, worked great. The cut is just great, no more tire pushing the grass down and not being cut. My daughter was kicking a soccer ball around after I got done and even remarked how nice it looked and NO grass clipping mounds.

If u are on the fence trying to decide, go for it.:)

Hi Tom,
You probably have the same mower deck that I have-RCK60B-22BX. Could you tell me the part number of the gator blades you bought for yours and how much they cost. Go SOX!!! ;^)
