Kubota BX2360
Just joining the forum after my recent purchase of a BX2360. Still learning the capabilities of the machine. Growing up I worked my g-father's farm and got plenty of tractor time but nothing smaller than a John Deere M. With the size difference it's hard to believe my little Kubota has more rated horsepower than that old JD.

On my plot I have a long gravel driveway. My question is should I make my first implement purchase a rear blade or box blade? I'd like to purchase the one that will give me the most use. Driveway often needs smoothing. In this part of WV we get 12-20 inches of snow a year. Enough to handle with the FEL? I've seen pix of people using the blade for minor trenching. That makes me lean toward the blade. Any advice guys (or gals).

box blade with rippers is really nice for long gravel driveways. But a back blade, is good with snow that is low or wet stuff. If I were you I'd figure on a way for a angled plow and box blade on back for weight.

Welcome to TBN and howdy neighbor. The best for gravel by far is a box blade. The best for snow is a slip scraper. That said you need to decide which is the most important or do as most do and get both. Have fun and be careful because if you are in WV you are near a hill.
