yep sometimes a heavier/bigger hammer isn't always the best choice either ...... it makes for a good reason to have a large & varied collection of hammers IMO.

(along with a large variety of other tools as well ...well as long as you know how to use them anyway )

Not a ball peen, but we often use a 6 oz claw hammer for putting frames together with the Hoffmann Dovetail joining system. Especially for those W0s...

Dang, Terry... this COVID crap. I gotta get up there to visit again soon. Hopefully spring I guess. Love the new ride. Looking hard trying to find a two door Jeep Rubicon for a toad that will be also suitable for the better half.

Found this cute little blacksmith vise on Marketplace for $5.

I only needed to straighten the handle, add a new spring and wire brush.
