I am trying to understand how the BH install goes on an L3830. Does the BH come with a kit of lines that are a particular length? I am trying to figure out of I should go back to the dealer and complain because my lines for the BH are too short.
Here's the situation. The male line coming form the BH to the tractor is about 3 feet long, from the front of the BH. This sucker is in the way because it is so long. The other line, the male from the tractor to the BH, which gets looped back to the tractor when the BH is disconnected, is about a foot long, from the bracket that holds the female connector on the tractor. When I went to hook up the BH yesterday, after having it unhooked for about 4 days,. I found that it had leaked down enough that I could not back under the hooks on the sub-frame. I went to hook up the lines so I could lift the BH but I was about 5" short of being able to connect the male tractor line to the BH. This was with the subframe touching the pins on the BH.
I ended up having to lift the front of the tractor up and shifting it back with the bucket to get the sub-frame under the pins, and get it close enough to hook up the male tractor line.
I am thinking that the dealer made the line too short when they installed the BH. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Any opinions or advice on this will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
