My brother in law wants to pass on to me (well, I guess $1,000 is not really passing it on) a 1962 Ford 600 with loader and backhoe. It's one ugly tractor but has served him well, until recently.
The loader and BH controls work ok but occasionally (seems more often now) the BH bucket will not curl. Playing with the control handle will sometimes get it to work (unless it's a coincidence). Would I be correct in assuming that the problem lies with the BH control handles? The outriggers and other BH functions work correctly, it's just the bucket curl.
I have a BX2200 and was looking to upgrade to the BX22 for the backhoe but this Ford tractor may fill the bill. If the problem is within the handle assembly is that something that can readily (parts) be repair/rebuilt? It looks fairly easy to detach the assembly. Any ideas where (in NY area) that would/could handle this? Thanks.
