Beware of tall weeds when you mow or two things may happen:
1) You will almost run over a deer sleeping in the middle of the thickest stuff. I think I may have actually bumped her with FEL, but boy did my heart rate jump when she took off..
2) You may end having the sensation that your tractor is loosing power and going slower and slower. Which will cause you to second guess whether you have it fully in gear and if the 4x4 is actually working.. next you check for fluid leaks.. then you squat down and find out your front axle drive shaft is now so inter-twined with grass that it will barely turn any more..
The axle was covered from stem to stern with so much grass it was actually pressing on the underside of the tractor (4inches radius).. After about 1.5 hours I was finally able to finally cut, yank, pull away all the grass..
I have never had that problem until today.. i do remember in the past having the weeds wrap around the PTO shaft though..
