35 Acres? If you try anything with a tractor you will be starting over again when you finally get done because they will be grown back by then. I would suggest a forestry mulcher like you talked about. I have run both the Fecon Drum Mulchers and also a Diamond Disc Mulcher on a John Deere 333G Skid Loader. Either one will work and once you get onto it you should be able to do 2 -3 Acres a day with one. Both will grind stumps just below surface a couple inches but not as deep as a designated stump grinder but for a pasture it should be just fine.

Here is a video I did using the Diamond Forestry Disc Mulcher, this one was mostly working thick invasive material, I did a couple other videos taking town trees and mulching them up

Update: As of February 5, 2020, my wife and I have been working on the property for 6 months. We both work full time, so we only get to work on it on the weekends. The whole month of January and early February it has rained a LOT, which has slowed us down. So far we have cut down 1282 Bradford Pear trees and burned 21 burn piles. Still lots left to go, but we now know the property well and are starting to think where we will place a house, detached garage, barn, horse pastures, and hay fields. Before we do any of that, we will need to lime all of the fields first since the soil is fairly acidic in our area of East Tennessee.

Not too much of a surprise that progress has slowed ...since I'd guess you're getting about as much rain as we are here in northern Alabama (we've had various types of flood warnings for the last couple weeks). Nice side of the rain is it means there's no concern about fire getting out of hand when burning any remaining piles (may take some work to get them started though) and (more importantly) it's probably a good time to figure out where the higher/drier parts of the property are since they will probably be the least problematic for building sites (at least when it comes to dealing with water - particularly the large volumes than can come in the winter months).

I bought a turbo saw around the same time and have 150 hours on it just cutting and piling I have 80 acres of over growth cut . I'm going to buy a bumalite 3p34 stump grinder for trees I have that I want gone that's to big for the turbo saw . But the turbo saw has been a great investment. But I have bend a few parts of it . And I added a tree protection to it .

I have owned a turbosaw for about 6 years. On trees that are too large to cut with the turbosaw, I chainsaw the tree close to ground level. In normal operation the saw blade on the turbosaw is kept level to keep the blade from binding in the cut. If the blade is tilted slightly downward, the turbosaw can be used as a stump grinder. This enables the operator to shave off the top of the stump. It is a lot of back and forth work, but quite effective.

Ya I have tried it but I find it not that great using the turbo saw as a stump grinder . A real stump grinder will worth its money to me .

One of these may still be the best option for stump, root removal and initial cultivation.
