Best ice cream you ever had?

I like the premium ice creams at the store but we make our own and my favorite is my own mint chocolate chip.

We put the basic ice cream mix in with real creme etc and add real mexican vanilla, small dark chocolate drops and creme demint (sp?) and its the best I have ever had. :licking:

The ice cream does not have beer in it, just paired with it. We are in the middle of the Gold Country wineries. A nice Cab or Port goes good with chocolate ice cream too. Mdrona, Lava Cap, Windwalker

For an "Off The Shelf" good taste....the Breyers HeathBar ice cream seems to hit the spot pretty good.

Whew! I just had to let my belt out one notch...I'm getting fat just reading this thread!:laughing::thumbsup: I haven't had too many bad bowls or cones of ice cream. I'm thinking ice cream for dinner...maybe even supper! Ice cream, ice cream, we all-scream for ice cream! Years ago a brand here in Oklahoma was Page and was actually "ice milk" and tasted home made. :thumbsup:

I've never met an ice cream that I didn't like...although I doubt I will try the bacon sundae at Denny's anytime soon.

My favorite flavor is fresh peach and since I can't find it in the stores, the only way I get it is to make my own. I don't do it very often, but when I do I use Ben & Jerry's recipe and my KitchenAid mixer ice cream maker attachment.

And my wife likes mint flavored stuff; candy, cookies, and even ice cream and I pass on any of that mint flavored stuff.
