Good writeup. How did you know/decide which freeze plug hole to use? I'll be interested to get your experience when it gets really cold.

Per the instructions you want it as close to the center of the block as possible for even heat distribution. Attached is the Kioti installation instructions I posted last year when we discussed this.

On the CK 35 there is only one hole that is available and not blocked by the starter or hydraulic pump.

When I was thinking of installing one on my CK 27 a few years ago I seen there was only 1 hole it could go in. At that time I wasn't aware you could buy a bushing in order to fit a heater in the block so I glued one to the oil pan. After this post I'll now install one in the block as well.
