Blue Mountain from TSC ~$15. Heavy denim, quality pockets and stitching like Rustlers. Old Mill lined 5-pocket from Menards. <$20.

Here's a fourth vote for Costco Kirklands. Fit good. Cheap. Durable.

As long as they use the same factory for each batch.
Have some items that range all over the place.
T shirts!
Last batch large was smaller the previous med.
Current x large goes below my butt but fits like old med.
Blame it on metric sizing I guess.

Never heard it called a "coin pocket". I thought it was a watch pocket, but since no one carries a pocket watch anymore, I figured pants manufacturers decided to eliminate that pocket.:)
I think that pocket is also used for 'male protection' devices.

OK.
As a retired senior I own more jeans than ever.
One category is 'work jeans'. ( usually dressy that have seen better days)
The other is 'dressy', those that have not yet received greases from my tractor.

I used to buy 4-5 pairs of 501's (shrink to fit, of course) and gradually destroy them, one by one they'd get ruined for polite society and graduate to the "work pants" pile.

A few years ago I got some carhartt pants & overalls and let me tell you, I spent less on one pair than on a pair of Levis and they're so much tougher. The trick is to change pants before I go work.

My last Levis are now about halfway through their lifespans so I'll need to figure out what to do for non-hard-work pants next in a year or two I guess... my wife likes the fit of these pants, so I'll probably stick with them, though they're definitely not made out of the same material that they were 20-30 years ago.

I will have to try the Carhartts, they seem to get some good reviews.

Changing pants before going to work is easy... I need to remember to change before transitioning from "going to town" to "working around my property." If I get a year from a pair of jeans or most other articles of clothing I'm happy. I don't know how people can have something last for decades.

edit: a quick search shows them even more pricy than Levis. I may have to go back to Wranglers, although they don't seem to last as long. (I write the purchase date on the inside pocket.)

I wear Cabelas jeans. They were around $17 and still look good going into their sixth year.
