Best and worst part of your job

Thought I'd start a new thread about what is the best aspect (besides money) and the worst aspect of your job. I own a nursery and landscaping business so one of the perks besides working for myself is being outside a lot. One of the worst parts is being outside a lot...when it's 95+ degrees and humid and/or when it's butt cold and wet.

I work for a major energy company, i am a field tech for them. I enjoy a lot my job, it's challenging, new technology, a lot of training, getting good managment experience. So I love this crazy job, but there is ONE thing, one major thing, I am a travel tech, so steady on the road. I love travelling, but I only have 4 days off at home every 6 weeks. The wife been following me on the road for 7 years, but with 2 kids and my oldest one about to start school, its gonna be diffent..... Will seee, but I love this crazy job.....

Well farming for myself I'd agree with both of your points. My plus is that I don't have to deal with anyone's stupid mistakes. Except my own that is. The worst part would be no one to blame my mistakes on!

I have two jobs. 1. Driving school bus. I love the stories the little ones have. I could do without the lack of respect in the tweenagers. - 2. I work for the state parks as a seasonal groundskeeper. I love operating tractor, mower, loader/backhoe and driving truck. Plus I get to do all this on the lakeshore of one on NY's Finger Lakes. The worst part of the job is cleaning up after those who have no respect for the park or it's patrons.

I've been trying to find a steady seasonal job for the winter months around here, there doesn't seem to be a seasonal industry and no one wants to hire for 2-3 months. Winter here means slow season for the nursery/landscape trade.

Considering I worked for years 55 miles from home the best part of my current job is that I am close to home. I can leave work for an hour and go to school functions. Being close to home allows me to be a better father.

Unrealistic customer expectations is the worst part. The best part is that I am self-employed and that is very rewarding.

I'm a design engineer - the good part is that I get to work on some really neat stuff. The bad part is that I have many non-design responsibilities that makes it hard to spend much of my time actually designing anything.

Wost part - Where do I start ? I rarely get any customers and when I do I have to work out in the cold (car valeting).
