Congratulations!!! Good caliber. What scope are you putting on it? I'm a big fan of Zeiss and Swarvoski, but for a youth, I think Nikon makes a very good quality scope for a reasonable price.

I second the cut the stock to fit idea. If you don't want to cut down the length of pull on the factory stock, buy a second stock to cut, but the gun should fit the person shooting it. It is pretty simple to cut a wooden stock and grind the recoil pad to fit. Plastic stocks can be more of a challenge to shorten. I cut many of my stocks length of pull because the 13.5" to 14" length of pull on most modern guns are just too long for me by the time I put on a heavy coat or jacket or install a thicker recoil pad.
