Complaint or symptom:
The output shaft on gearbox fails.
The output shaft of the gear box fails prematurely. Customers report that they did not hit any rocks,stumps or obstructions. Multiple failures on a machine may be experienced. The drilled hole for the blade pan retaining bolt can cause weakness in the shaft leading to failure.Solution:
Cutter gearboxes have been revised effective at the following serial numbers:
Mx5. Woomx5x014000
Mx6. W00mx6x029000
Mx7. W00mx7x015000
Mx8. W00mx10x015000
Mx10. W00mx10x014000
For machines prior to the above serial numbers replace the complete gearbox with updated versions as shown on the attached parts listing
