OK, so I got my Befco tiller and was finally able to sink it in the ground. I am truly pleased with the results so far as this thing really digs up the soil. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to see the color match was almost spot on with my Kubota.:thumbsup:

What is the negative on a Shear-pin model? I am also looking at a Befco. I believe it's a 150-t30. It's used, but very lightly used.

A shear pin model does exactly as it sounds, shears a pin which will render the cutter useless until you replace that pin. It sacrifices the shear pin vs. major damage to he cutter. The slip clutch will just slip and the cutter will continue to work.

You have to carry tools and extra pins if you have a shear pin type cutter.

Slip clutch are almost always preferred.
