It doesn't match your tractor? I'll bet there was lots of corners to put paint in and what kind of paint did you decide on? looks good

Yep.. I know.. It's a JD 1517 batwing.. and I drive mostly Ford / NH.. but I couldn't pass upt he deal.. Batwings around here go inthe 5000-6000$ used range.. this one was 2000$.. tires 20% .. but hold air.. for now... lots of degreasing.. and some rust pitting.. but no rust thru. New blades.

I simply couldn't pass it up. It cuts great. I did a little minor welding on it.. fixed the brush guards, and degresed and pressure washed it for a week.

It should serve me well.

After priming, I did alot of the corner, and 'hidden' spot painting.. then I blew the main coat. Turned out good.

It cuts great. The flex wings really follow the terain much better than my 10' fixed mower, and i can cut as close as 2" from the ground if i want.

To the other poster.. mr jimi... I forgot to say that I used the TSC BPS paints, and a valspar rust control ( etching? ) primer, and a valspar hardner.
