Wow, that looks like quite the good setup for Solar battery charging for sure. Just need to add the Solar panel to it.

Steve who uses Ctek chargers with Desulfation... I've been doing a long term test on our FarmPro 2420 Tractor battery to see how long it will last with the Extreme charger on it (military grade). I've posted the results from time to time so far in the Chinese tractors forum.

You need to look at the manual. If it just puts out up to 2@ at normal battery charging voltage, you'll end up wit a dead boiled battery in the not to distant future. It needs a smart mode where it will drop the voltage down when it's charged & kicking back up a little when it detects it discharged a bit.

Fallon's point about overcharging your battery is vital! That's why I don't leave batteries on my crude little HF trickle charger more than days at a stretch. I worry about zapping them. I wonder if there's a simple way of monitoring battery condition, as with a voltmeter?

You can use a cheap timer and just have it hit the battery for an hour a day.

I've got one of their plug ins with desulfation. It saved a couple of expensive batteries for me, so count me among the believers. In fact it's hooked up to my truck right now.
