Battery life expectancy - Manufactured 2014 LS G3038?

Mine is a 2015 MY; still on the original battery. Never put a tender on it, and it started yesterday at 0°. Maybe a little slower to turn over than in the summer, but it isn't showing any signs of dying yet. Once it does, I will probably replace it with an Interstate as I have had good luck with them over the years.

I swap out my car/truck batteries every 5 years, I don't want to get stranded.... I wait until the tractor batteries die of old age, never more than 7 years. Everything I own is in a garage that I can easily heat if needed. If the tractor battery gives up the ghost I will turn on the heat, charge/jump the battery and get a replacement asap.

Well I went to my small town automotive parts dealer and found a 51R sealed battery that met the dimesions and surpassed the CCA for less than 80 bucks. Since then I happened to notice the battery in my 2009 Honda Element and it too is runing the 51R battery. Interesting.

My tractor batteries last on the average ten years. At least, that's when I replace them. I DO NOT want to get caught in the winter with a dead battery.

I get about 10 years on my tractors but I'm **** about keeping them on a tender even in the summer.
Wierd timing for this post, daughter and I went to HD yesterday, shut her rig off, a 2009 Journey, came out battery was deader than a nit, 2-1/2 years old, had to get a boost from CAA to get home and get a new one. Stupid POS, the battery is ahead of the left front wheel, you have to remove the wheel and the fender liner to change it, not much bigger than a motorcycle battery.............Mike

I only got 2 years out of my XG3025 because my grandchildren had a habit of playing on it and leaving the lights on and draining it completely. The cheap wal mart battery has been in it for 3 years with no problems.

My original tractor battery lasted 11 years. My replacement battery is nearing 10 years and still going strong.
Neither have ever had a battery tender on them.

I bought my R4047H in early 2012 and it still has the original battery. It stays on a battery tender in an unheated garage.

Bought my R4041H in October 2013 , still original battery kept in unheated garage. I put a battery tender on it every once in a while but it doesn't take long to bring it up to full charge. The battery feels as strong as ever.
