I guess it is boo hoo hoo after nine hours, then it's call a tow truck or carry a generator with extra gas.
You make no sense here. Please explain......

Camp mode gives only 9 hours of "camping" before the thing shuts down to conserver power.

People were stranded for more than 9 hours...do the math.

That assumes ALL EVs are Tesla Ys, "However, in extremely cold conditions, the draining rate can increase slightly higher and costs about 14-15% of the total battery percentage for 8 hours", and camp mode quits working once battery level gets down to 15%.
"Camp Mode generally consumes around 10% or 7-8 kWh of battery for about 8-9 hours."
So you are saying after the 8-9 hours one can simply put it back in regular drive mode for a minute then go back to camp mode for another 8-9 hours and repeat until a 100KWH battery gets down to 15KWH? Awesome! Indeed the best thing to be stuck in, in a storm (assuming one has a bunch a charge left at the start of the storm of course)

Do you think there are magic crystals that generate magical energy while parked on a road?

Quoted from Tesla...not my words.

China is the largest propaganda authority in the world...be careful what you believe.
True, but between over zealous regulation and some companies that are more interested in a buck then national pride, in many ways we're screwing ourselves

The big transportation failure on I-95 should give good feedback on how EVs do stuck in the snow for 27 hours on the freeway. There were apparently a lot of IC vehicles abandoned on the highway. That's a pretty low bar for an EV to get over.
Its not IF they will get stuck, its what will you do when they get stuck? Much easier to get a few gallons gas to a stranded ICEV than try to extract a dead EV from a traffic jam or get a charger to it.
If its dozens of stranded EVs, then its much more difficult.
We are unprepared for this situation and I wouldnt trust driving one on a long trip
