And the US might struggle a bit more than Europe, most of Europe are on 3 phase 400V except of course here, here it goes in 3 phase 240V on older installations like mine, newer are 400V. As I understand 3 phase are not default to all houses in the us.
I happened to be the last house on our three phase grid but homes are all single phase. Yes it is true much of the USA rural areas are single phase 220 volt Max. Even on the three phase the only time I see 3 transformers at one location is usually for like grain bins. It seems most modern factories are three phase with 408 volt grids.

And those crappy rental units leave no opportunity for charging an EV. This is an inherent issue I have with the poor never being able to own EVs.
Rich people have no idea how many millions of people don’t have single family homes with driveways and garages. It’s discriminatory and there’s been no viable answer given.
That and the traffic jams caused by dead EVs.

Blinders indeed.
That's not an EV problem, that's an early adopter problem. The first cellphone cost about $10,000 in todays dollars. The first HD TVs were around $8,000. Now even the poorest of the poor has them. It's always like that and the EV revolution will be no different.

I believe it’s ”F-150 Lightning”.
An “F-150 Lightening” would be removing the spare tire, back seat and having only a couple gallons of gas in the tank to make it faster.
👌 Merry Christmas Bubba...

The F150 powerboost hybrid is of great interest to me. If they get a slightly bigger battery so I can go 30-40 miles on electric alone when I’m just putzing around empty I’d hop on one.
I have a 21 Powerboost Hybrid ... I'm getting 22mpg no matter where I'm driving. My Wife drives a 21 straight Powerboost, getting 17.5mpg... I really, really like the Hybrid.

I was in the consumer electronics repair business 43 years. I retired 8 years ago, timing was perfect because of planned obsolescence.
Wife & I collect old cars (along with old radios, etc). Years ago things were designed with serviceability in mind. Nowadays things are designed oppositely with a service lifespan (obsolescence) in mind, everything from toasters, televisions, cell phones, etc.
Repair is history, you don't repair an appliance you toss and replace it.
If we live long enough we'll see that with cars and trucks. It's designed to last, say, 10 years then replace it.
The reason I say that is 50+ years ago our phone directory (1/2" thick) had over 30 repair shops listed and retiring I was the last guy standing. Back then people would repair or had everything repaired, even table lamps.
As time goes on we see larger things disposed of, refrigerators, washers...everything. Vehicles will be next to go.

B.S. ... Discriminatory??? Don't go woke on us...

For the most part residential in America is only 2 phase.

What is two-phase?
Two hots, not 3...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-phase_electric_power#:~:text=voltage%20and%20current.-,Comparison%20with%20three%2Dphase%20power,of%20the%20same%20carrying%20capacity.&text=Two%2Dphase%20circuits%20typically%20use,pairs%20of%20current%2Dcarrying%20conductors.
