A year ago we got the Leaf as as our first EV and a guy ran a red light knocked it's nose off today and he landed upside down 200+ feet down the street. I was over at the son's place doing some backhoe work so the daughter was driving the wife to work when the accident happened. Both are walking but took some airbag and seatbelt damage. Monday I will check out the car and see if the driver is insured.

I am really concerned about my wife's pain to breath after the double blow from the airbag and shoulder strap. ER doctor indicated at best ribs can take time. We will see how both feel today. The guy's seat belt may have saved his neck but the accident report should be ready Monday. All four people may have reminders of the accident for a while. It was in a 35 MPH speed zone and there was a vehicle signalling to turn left in front of my daughter and she didn't notice the car shooting the red light and tagged it in the right rear door as she took off.
