For those so inclined here is a little visual fodder. My tree guy left yesterday around noon and came back today at 10 am. Tree guys seem to be related to bankers /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif anyway I just hired him to get them down, I took care of bucking them and clearing. Since he was coming back this morning I was trying to get the north tree cut and moved out of the way. I got some cut but I think I will need a bigger saw /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Here is what I could not cut yesterday or this morning so I just moved it with Ol Yeller....

Interesting project, great photos.

Ever think about imbedding them in your narrative via having them on a web image hosting service such as http://www.fotki.com ? I use this one quite a bit, makes illustrated articles much easier.

I'm a car hobbiest and have written several articles on various projects on my cars. I'll likely do the same when I buy my tractor, and get into building projects. Here's one of mine you can peruse: http://public.fotki.com/fastpat/tractors_attachment/

No connection to fotki.com, just a customer.

Your last photo imbedded in the quoted. For illustration purposes only.

That log would make some nice beams! Easy to do with a chainsaw.

fastpat,
Imbedding them in the post will also make some of the dial-up using members/visitors cuss you out until all the pictures load. Just attach them like he did and let the ones that want to view them open the attachment. Just my opinion (from a former dial-up user).

Thanks

You will notice that no one embeds photos, as the inspector pointed out alot of dial up users would get a little frustrated trying to follow your thread. But thanks for the thought....

Hey Egon, I don't think they would, they are really brittle. They just seem to explode when they hit the ground /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I'll try to pick up where I left off last night. Here is a side shot of that log on the fork. The first time I tried to pick it up the back of the fork went up instead. I knocked another 5 or 6 feet off and got it moved out of the way.

Larstan,

Progress is looking great! If the logs won't serve well as framing material, you need a fire pit to at least roast a hotdog on /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. You are really breathing some new life into the old barn. Great work so far!
