Finished up my ballast box today.
I added some scrap steel and capped it off with some more 1/4" plate.
I have some Craftsman metal tool boxes that are empty. I might paint one green and bolt it to the top of the ballast box this winter.
Lets have some snow!

Any idea of what the weight of your BB is? And as others have said...excellent job.

I made a calculation of the steel and stonecrete used.
Together my estimate was 800 pound ballpark figure.
You can definetly tell it's on there.
I was on grass a while ago with the FEL attached with no BB and was backing up small a hill.
The rear wheels lost tractor almost immediately.
Tried it with the ballast box on and I didn't loose traction at all.

Nice build! Watch those lower pins... they may start deflecting the mounts with time.
