I returned my bagger this weekend and then had to face long grass without a collection system. I proceeded to mow and continuously discharged the clippings on to the un-mowed grass. I found that my BX could plow through the uncut grass and clippings without a hiccup, which would have made my old lawn tractor stall. By the time I got to the end of the mowing, 80-90% of the clippings were so small that they practically disappeared (ie. mulched). This really made me wonder why I opted for a bagger in the first place -- I suppose it was based on the experience with my old tractor. The overall cut was much better and I finished mowing in about 2/3 of the time.
Next year I'll get Gator blades which will hopefully make this process even better!
Loving the BX again.
