So sorry for the loss of your friend. There is nothing in this world like the Love of a dog. I took in a stray dog and named him Hayduke and he was the best and was with me for 12 years. He died while on the road to Utah in Iowa as he had gotten the bloat and had to put him down. I buried him on the Ute Rez where we lived for a while and he rests surrounded by beauty in sight of the Bears Ears. I can't help you with tractor problem but my advice is to open your Heart again and adopt a dog from a shelter who needs second chance. It won't change your loss, but you will be giving a dog the chance to live and enjoy things and you will have another friend.

I second this recommendation. We got our dog from the shelter almost 4 years ago and he is the sweetest, most loyal and friendly dog anyone could want.

I too am sorry for your loss. Good luck with the tractor.

After coming back from Utah...thinking no f^%&ing dog! Not wanting to feel the loss again, but realized nothing ventured nothing gained. Started to look for dogs at shelters via the internet. It was a painful process! Many sad stories and hoops to jump through, not to mention crossing paths with dog ****'s, telling me I wasn't deserving or that I was being selfish. Pressed on and found Dylan, a Brooklyn boy as a shelter in upstate NY who was given up as hopeless, when actually he just needed a firm but loving hand. Now we are both the better off.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dog. I have 2 elderly dogs (14 yo Golden's) and their hearing is about shot. Gone are the days when they could follow me out to the road, cause they cant hear if there was any traffic. Its a private road, but i just cant take any chances. They sure look sad when i have to lock them behind the swing fence.

As for the tractor, it does suck when there are issues like that on a new tractor. But i guess every item in the world has a chance to be assembled on a Monday morning or a Friday afternoon. Hopefully it will remain to be these small issues.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Sorry about your dog.

As far as your tractor goes, there are some days it seems to take 2 hours to get 10 minutes of work done. My problem is I'm so stubborn, I don't know when to quit.

santuck: sorry for the loss of your friend. I have to keep my (rescue) terrier on a tight leash. She's off like a bullet if there's a squirrel in sight...

Hope you find a new friend soon!

I am sorry about your friend as they do take special places in our lives. As far as the problems with the tractor they sound like pretty easy fixes. When you are talking about the kind of hose clamps that you have to use pliers to attach, I am thinking they have the three tabs that you have to compress to expand the clamp. May I suggest going to the hardware or farm supply and getting the adjustable hose clamps that have a screw to tighten them up. You can unscrew them and place them around the fuel line then begin tightening them in a convent spot before sliding them in place for final tightening. As far as mechanical problems, they can happen with any color paint the tractor has.
