Bad luck weekend for me and M7040

Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.

We are on our fourth Kubota with the oldest being a 2003 5030 with 1200 hours and newest a 2010 M8540 with about 200 hours and all have been very reliable. We have had a lot of problems with a couple of John Deere machines, but view them as flukes and don't hesitate to recommend them to new buyers. Every once in a while something slips through on all makes. I hope things work out better for you in the future.

Builder and GWDixon both run 7040's, so maybe they can offer some advice.

I thought I was having a bad day here. I write from Tokyo having traveled here only to realize that I've left my jacket with my wallet and keys likely in the airplane.

After all the inconvenience though I will get home with my three dogs and family still hopefully safe and sound and the wallet and the things in it will be replaced.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your dog.

If I had a weekend like that, I would want to vent, and to share my grief a bit too. Fortunately, all these things seldom come at once. I wouild work with my dealer about the shaky fuel line connections though, and have him help me keep that from being a problem. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, not many things in this world are as unconditional as what you shared with your pet.

Sorry to hear about your dog. My faithful companion of 15 years passed of natural causes last December and I too cried like a baby while digging his grave with my FEL. Glad I'm not the only one who does that when a pet dies. I've got a new pup now that is great but still not the same. Also sorry to hear about your tractor problems. It always sucks to plan on getting stuff done and not being able to. I would let the dealer handle the fuel problem.

Scrappy, that's exactly what I planned to do! I bought some 4" zip ties at Lowes today to use on the fuel line. Thanks for the advice.
Thanks to all with the kind words. This too shall pass, but I'll never forget my little friend!

I would think that being in a foreign country without your wallet is pretty stressful. I hope you are able to reconnect with your items. Best of luck!

Thanks TnWV. It was right up there with the toughest things of all.
