The most miserable 10 days o week of my life. I sure hope no one else has to go through this.

Doug & I finnished up cooler, my leg's collapsed 3 times. Yelled at Doug & he helped me into truck & drove it around the house helped my up the ramp. It seemed to pass & I got closer to normal.Going through barn next day tripped & fell again. Hurt like h11, but got better in a while, Start over again. Not sure what my mission was. But went on.

Next day got old battery out of tractor & new 1 in. Had to quit, back said that's all brother.

Have Dr. appointment next day a 9am.
Get there & they say nope it was 1 pm yesterday & you missed it. I know better. Sent me to ER & it was down hill from there. Went in for swollen feet, constipated & pain. Dr zeroed in on feet, noting for pain, or constipation. Finally got enema, took it a while to work, but work it did. It was cold could not warm up the whole time there.
Forth ti IV fell out I would not let them put it back. Told me if they didn't I might as well. go home. Told them If I could get to my truck I would be happy to go. They said I could loose mu left foot, at this point I don't really give a damm
Nice guy pushed me out to truck. felt sorry for hm, not even a jacket. Every time I would nod off they would wake me up for something. NO sleep, had not really slept for a couple days anyway.

TV sucks, OH well so what its normal. Maybe I can sleep for a while.

Hands stayed numb till I got home about 8pm. Still in pain, mutts happy to seem, Bobby girl over joyed, got some little kisses ( little lick on wrist. ) & sort of snuggled once I got in bed. Propane heater ran out of juice around 3 am. No big deal build wood fire. Kept it going until now, may keep it going for a while longer. 42 outside right now.

Keep taking Advil hoping it will do something, nope it is not working.

Finally pass out around 5 am. OH no enema works while I am sleeping. Made a nice mess.

Nothing tastes good , not even coffee. Food a VA not fit to eat, Had not eaten for couple of days before & all I ate while there I can taste the salt in the IV they had me on while there. Down to 124# now. Got to eat no matter what. Can not afford to loose more weight. I am sick & hurt, but can it get me down, I hope not. Too many things to do. 1#1` finish putting batt in tractor, #2 put window in deck. Both need to be done.

Have stuff to get out out truck, not until it warms up. had more than enough cold.

Have some more appointments, may cancel them until I have an understanding that they are going to do what I think will help me, with pain & feet.. Not sure of anything right now.

Man... Jim.... wishing for you to get well quickly! Maybe write down your issues for the doc and make sure he answers all of them. Keep those appointments.

What might help is hang a calendar on the fridge (beer storage device ) and write the appointments on it. That way every time you go to the fridge you see them. Question - are you a diabetic? Your foot pain and other issue you have are indicators. Could explain a lot. Otherwise have them run a uric acid test. Gout also matches some of your issues. As mentioned by others, keep a log of the issues. I keep a small note pad on me for several reasons and it helps to write down what happened when. Good luck - Keep thinking about you.

Jim From the reading of your posts. Maybe need a vacation from working around the place.
My wife keeps telling me if broke don't fix. just get a new .then remind her she has been around 58 years and has slowed down also.

Before you were using the VA for treatment did you have a local Doctor to treat the ailments.
I know of several neighbors that after the VA and having to wait and figure out which or if they have appointment. just to get new medications have returned to local Dr. and Wal-Mart for there pills needed to keep going.

Hi folks, thanks for your thoughts & caring. I will look into most of your ideas.

There is no local doctor. A clinic about 4 miles away. Rare to have a Dr there. Have not been to a Dr in several years. Not since I fell a few years ago. Would just do things until pain got too bad & when it settled down go again. Went to VA thinking see Dr, get pain pill & everything will be OK. No suck luck, 5 different pain pills & nothing yet that works. So I am pretty much back to where I started from. Except for a wast of time & $. Plus pain worse & more frequent. Soaked feet in Epson Salts yesterday. Not sure it helps anything. I can walk a little farther before legs light up. May do it again today.

Want to put on a pot of beans today. No tricks or extras, just beans, salt pork, & onion. Hook up tractor battery & bring in hand truck to get propane tank to bed room. That will be enough for 1 day, unless I get to feeling better. That is when it warms up?? 75 in & outside & I'm still cold.

I sure have turned into a whiner & feel sorry for my self. Got to get over that, do things & be happy again.

Would like to go to WW & look for some compression socks & Fries to pick up a few things. Small bottles of water, some sherbert, Yogurt & juice. Not sure about anything else. Maybe get a burger & milk shake. Shakes at least taste good. Maybe tomorrow or next day or later today. Balance today the worst it has ever been. In the old days had better balance when drunk than now.

Soon it will be hot, that may be better than the cold in my case. Hope all of you in the storm area are safe.

Enough whining for 1 time.

A leap forward.
Got tractor running. Almost made it yesterday, but not quite. Had to quit. 1 Causality was Doug's shovel He left it leaning against a tire & it got run over. Did not seem to bother him.

Things are starting to taste better, Maybe the pills maybe things taste bad??

Jim, I managed to bump a rain gutter with the back blade yesterday. The back blade won that battle! Glad you are getting your taste back. Wandering around WW is fun sometimes. Just wondering where did some of these people come from!

I do actually appreciate everything they are doing.

I am not against anyone because of where they came from. Every DR that I have seen is from some foreign country.
Primary DR from England. 2/3 others India, Some more from China. There may have been 1 American, He looked more like a High School student than a DR.

If I could walk very far the grounds at the VA are really beautiful & fixed up real nice. Beautiful rock borders on all walk ways. Full time gardeners on the scene at all times. Just me. I think that the money would be better spent on hiring more DR's & less on the pretty. They do have a DR shortage & I think that the can only get foreign DR's at the wages they pay. ??/

Today a day of mostly nothing. Did a load of laundry. Cooked a pizza it was pretty good. But I figured out a way to screw it up a little.( Makes Bobby Girl happy ) Put it back in oven to cook crust a little more & turned salami in rocks. I am good at screwing things up 1 way or another. Didn't even drink or want any beer. Just a lot of coffee.

Pain pretty well behaved, mostly from not doing much. Lights up when doing things but goes away fairly soon.

Wish my night vision was better. ( it flat sucks, can't see things that are there, see things that aren't there & wander all over the road like a drunk.) For some unknown reason I could not sleep last night. Would have gone to town & picked up a few things. Can do without them except for some bread, ( It molded.) Can get that local so no big deal.

May have told you Doug found lost keys in mail box. Sure glad. Going to have several sets made up, hide 1 in truck, 1 or 2 in barn.

Think I have posted most of the pictures that I took. Wish some of you would guess at the sticks in the pictures posted. Go on give it a try, doesn't cost anything & you may get a chuckle or 2.

Back to doing nothing & figuring out something to whine about.
