Maybe another short post,

Toaster oven should get here today. Maybe I get it before someone else.
Think it dried out to fast for the hop toads.
Briefly got down to 69 this am. But quickly jumped up to 80+ now 90.
Good dreams & bad 1ns, some so realistic it is scary. Some just goofy.
Should have new debit card in about 5 days. Have a few bills that need to be paid.
Got lots of things that really need to get done. lot more I should do & even more I want to do.

What's new Crash? Liking the new toaster oven? Funny story, I was working night shift awhile back and I'm by myself when here at the plant. I decided I wanted a couple of pop tarts about 1 am. I went into the kitchen area and stuck them in the pop up style toaster. I was standing there because sometimes the dang thing will burn toast etc. It was only about 10 seconds into the browning and I started smelling the distinct smell of hair burning. Nasty smell. Suddenly this mouse came popping up out of the toaster. He was scrambling like crazy with his hair on fire. You can just imagine the surprise to me! I just about fell over backwards jumping back. He shot over under the fridge and that was the last I ever saw of him. I did set a trap with some peanut butter behind the counter...but he ain't been back. Boy did that stink. yes, I threw the pop ups out and haven't used it since...lol I just toast in the oven now.

Have not been in the mood to type or post. Mostly in a bad mood.
When things start to go wrong they just keep gong. From little stupid things to some really irritating.

Whether. Just plain old hot, swamp box barely maintains, 80 inside by mid after noon.

Critters. Heard a noise, when I looked there was a bushy tail sticking out of the vent over the stove. Then a head popped out. Fell behind stove. Bobby was hot to get it, soon it ran to the bed room, Bobby & bony hot after it. Made another big mess. Think it went out the window, Dogs still hunting it.
A bird or 2 has come in dogs don't like that, more hunting, more messes.
Yesterday they were hunting by the TV. Killed the black box, so mo TV. Man suppose to replace it today. Hope he can find the place.

Went to town, to see about getting AC fixed. $83+ just to check it out, $1000 /$1500 to fix it.
Had breakfast at a little MEX place. Choriso & eggs. Choriso different than I ever tasted & not good, re fried beans out of a can, rice tasteless.
Only good part was the tortilla. Haven't seen 1 like it since I was a kid. About as thin as a match book cover & about 2 feet across.

Had don the math & was going to end the month with some $$$$ left over.
Bought more than I should have. And another problem comes up, I'm out of $$$. Called bank, yep out of money. Gave back ribs on sale 2 for 1, kept 1, got $5 cash, bought a 6 pack on way home. Dog feed just barely going to last.
Will be out of beer, 1 little guy left. Payday in about 3 days, so will not die.

Went to cook some sausage links that Jan gave me. The little grill started flaming out all holes. Turned off gas & it kept burning. Pulled sausages off the hot part & they were on fire. Dogs ate them anyway., after I got them off the grill.

OH well life goes on & it will be a brighter day tomorrow. Yea Right. :laughing:

I forgot toaster oven. Good thing is it will hold a 12" pizza. Bad things, dials very hard to read & confusing, Door on old oven pulled out cooking tray, not on this on. Bough some finger nail polish to mark them with & put some on front sight of old pistol.

They just finished up on the TV. Its working good & things have improved.
New remotes & they now have numbers big enough to push without getting 2 or 3
After 2 hours the TV goes to sleep.

Killed some more ribs. Never again will I buy baby back ribs,
Dogs could hardly eat the meat what little there is & could only chew on the bones. Even Bony could not do the bones any damage.

Drank my last little beer this AM.:hissyfit:

OH well can survive a couple of days without beers. :thumbdown:

Bugs
Never had so many bugs & different kind of bug. Bony was almost raining bugs today. From blood sucking ticks, hard shell ticks & the mystery bug, that acts like a bed bug. Must have got a couple dozen off of her. Wait a couple of minuets & there are more . 1 Off of Bobby & 1 off of dog yesterday.
On top of that they attacked me. Bought 3 tubes of itch cream & they are almost gone.

Change of diet, grape fruit, years since I had eaten 1. Mashed patotos , really good with lots of butter, salt & pepper. Some canned beef gravy, Hard boiled eggs with a touch mayo, salt & pepper. really good. Tip on pealing hard boiled eggs, cut shell in 1/2 & scoop out with a spoon & your done, made some French toast, another good thing.

Want glass in the back deck. remembered that I had taken a window out to put in wood stove. Window is dual pane & a escape type.
Can just barley turn it over. About 10 years ago I took it out & carried it over to where it is. Got little plastic clips off, but so full of dust it would not budge. Put a bunch of oil in it & hammered on it, it moved a tiny bit. Maybe tomorrow it can be pushed out.??

New TV box also brightened up the color a little. Wish modern TVs had tone control like old radios use to.

Great thread.
If the TV is fairly recent, most all the control will be done through its screen menus. The original TV remote, not the one for a cable box, will have a setup or menu button. The menus usually have a system or eco entry that adjusts whether to use power saving. If so how long without activity before going into standby. The audio menu entry might have tone or mode settings that would influence the treble/bass. There should be a video entry to adjust brightness/contrast/color settings. If no original remote might be able to see something on any front panel for setup, could be hidden under a panel. For hard boiled eggs tap it on the counter/table and fragment the shell all over then it comes off easy.

Here is another egg peeling trick. It does not have to be a water glass, can be a little glass jar or a plastic container with a lid. You can cover it with your hand and it works. I get water everywhere so use containers with lids.
