A little update on life around here.
Brother in law mad at me. Not first time & chances are not the last.
Fed-x lost my new toaster oven. They take no responsibility. Uo to Amazon toi take care of any reimbursement.
More cheery things.
Road runner here several times a day. Dog & Riley killed a chipmunk a few days ago. Dog laid it by the back door. Threw it out in the yard. It disappeared Road Runner??
Cooled off a little, not really enough to make much difference. High around 95/96, low around 69/70. But some mornings still in the 80s.
Riley could be a good dog "IF" Quit going hunting, quit stealing any food type thing she can reach, & would understand NO when it comes to getting in the truck for rides.
While looking for package she stayed right by my left knee the whole time, maybe 200 yards.
Typing terrible & computer is on SLOW SO I quit for this day.

Life Goes on.
Did I say it had cooled down? Well sort of, day time lower a little, but not cooling down at night. 80 At 6AM to day.
Over cast at night keeps temp higher & cooler in the day.
Thunder has been rumbling, mostlky in the distance. One real loud boom close sure scared Bobby. She quivered & shook for quit a while, I hugged & petted her for quit a while until she calmed down.
Sure hope it is cooler in the morning. Need to get dog & bird seeds.
OH maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
If you like WW2 planes U-tube sure has some good videos. Just type in the plane & a pretty long video will show up.

More drivel & complaining 
The rose that made my day brighter started to wilt & fade.
Low on dog & bird seeds so off to the feed store I go. Get mail & maybe it is good news.
Letter form the people that want to cook me when I'm gone & another from aarp both say not to loose my benefits.
Off to the feed store, grab a few things a dollar general only forget a couple. pretty good for me.
Get home & fill up dog dishes ( they were completely empty ( now next day & they are almost still full. 2 many good things, steak, hamburger & so on.
Feed birds Now I have happy birds & dogs.
Today things went much better. VA has my dd214 just have to in in get things started. Don't open until 8AM & by then it will be well over 90. OK think I will take a bucket of ice water & a rag, put it around my neck & over my head.
On with my tales of woe.
Fedx lost my order, toaster oven & some other little things. Dumb or incompetent driver left my stuff at the wrong gate. Instead of getting it & bringing it here, left a note as to where it was. It was not there. Call Fedx & complain & they say call Amazon. Tell driver should be fired.
Called Amazon today & they are going to replace the stuff for free. Moire good news.
Will get back to my usual funny / goofy stories later.

Hi Jim , Thinking of your needing a occupation or something you could dedicate your life style to improve your life.
Ever been to Taos N Mex. ?
There is a house that someone insulated with aluminum cans and from base to roof the cans is stacked so only bottom is exposed.
How long this has taken I don't know would bet the builder doesn't either. unless he has help.
Temp hot here in mid 90's with same for the humidity.
Needing some rain for the gardens.

A little more BS & drivel.
Rained for 3 days & nights. A whole 1/2"
rained again most all night & part of the day. It actually ran a little water. 3/4"
made it to the VA, am now officially a veteran. :laughing:
Man do they have some state of the art computers & scanners. No wonder they are short of $$$$
Lady that took care of me ( all 250#s of her) was quite nice & competent, got me a primary care appointment on July 14.
A good day to go, had rained near Tucson & was fairly cool most of the day until I got home
The big rain brought out the hop toads, they were in every puddle singing their heads off. ( Mating call ) There was 1 little guy by the barn door. 1 Year there was so many tiny little guys between Harvey's & my place it was hard not to step on them.
Yep the rain brought the humidity up. Swamp box working hard to maintain 20% under outside. It was doing over 30%
Sure hope its a cool morning when I go to the VA. The over 100 no fun to be out in.
Lost my debit card, think I know where, but could not find a PH number to call them. Not a big deal, bank canceled it & is sending me a new 1. May take up to 10 days, no problem, Don't need anything right away.
At the VA I have to pay for an ID & show to forms of gov id. They the picture is sent somewhere back east & they will mail me a card. Inefficient I guess.:confused3:
OH well things could get worse & chances are they probably will.:laughing:
