Yep all the commercials for kids toys are for inside the house. some for things that would have got me in trouble.
As a kid we did not play in the house. Outside daylight to dark.No school shootings & anyone could own a gun, even take them to school. No allowance, for some money you had to earn it. Worst of all today is the I-Phone or I-pad, seems like every kid has one. We did not have TV until I came home from the service. Not even a land line.

Dr. made house calls. Funny but most Dr offices were up stairs.

No such thing as riding lessons. Just get on, if you get thrown off so what.

I could go on for days, but as I said before, Not going to change anything.

I remember kids bringing guns to show and tell. I collected pop bottles for ammo money. As a result the first time I picked up an M16, I fired expert with it. I think the military prefered recruits from the south because they could shoot and there was no BS. Don't know about kids today because society has gone to ****.

Jim, yep...morning till dark (had to get our chores done first). When in school (grade school), we would bring in our weapons, 22 rifles so we could go hunting in the farmers fields after school.

True enough... homework done fast so I could team up with my buddy. We had a serious (three story) tree house project ongoing thanks to the scraps from a residential home tract being built nearby. A large cow bell would signal us to get our little butts home for dinner. If we were too dirty, one of the moms would wash us down with the garden hose. Sometimes we had to strip naked! Now they call CPS.

Well life goes on & on.
As usual there is the good, bad ugly & outrageous.I now have a straight pipe on the truck. It is pretty quite, & The stink is behind the truck.
#3 Switch on tractor. First 2 rejects would crank it, but could not keep it running. #3, first keys would not work, got them working, & nothing. But it is not the switch. What I have not figured out. Bad battery?, hook up jumpers & still nothing. A few more tests & hope it will run,

4 Appointments at VA. Pain EDUCATION, Yep I am too stupid to know it hurts. Pee Dr, biopsy on bladder. Why not fix problem first then do the biopsy?? Foot Dr, sure hope it actually makes thing better this time. 2 Good things, new primary Care Dr. & different pee Dr,= Went to sleep on pee poty, must have not been very long as I didn't fall off. & had silly dream that I can not remember.

Mutts fat & happy. Lots of people seeds, plus mutt food. Birds happy as well. Little birds fun to watch up close. Quail even more fun. 3 dishes of seeds & they will fight over 1 dish. Cardinals rule the roost uo here. Quail out at other place.
Quail fight by bumping chests. Doves by popping wings. Little birds, bare there teeth. I know they do not have teeth, but that is the effect of what they do. Bunnies.. 1 Sits still, another runs at it. The one sitting still jumps straight up & other runs under it. Soon the trade places & it starts over again. At times another 1 or 2 will join the fight. Who wins???

Made a stew that is now soup, needs something, added garlic powder today,. Maybe that will help. Not really bad tasting. If & when I get some teeth, will eat more. Tired of soup sandwiches.:laughing:

No dust storms, as the dust has all blown away long ago. Wind has let up a little. It goes from too cold too too hot. Goofy weather.

Wood peckers made brats. Cactus wrens going to make brats, 1 was real fat. Same with the quail. ! girl really plump.

Should end the month with a few $$$ Same spending as last Month when I went in the hole??????

A day without laughter is a day wasted.

We had a dinner bell on a telephone pole on the back porch. three rings and you were headed home. Ended up our subdivison had 3 different bells and each had its own tone. Sound carried real well up and down the river - where you were not allowed.

around here cardinals are chickens......won't come out of the bushes if there are any other birds around.....if they are out and picking up seed and another bird comes by they immediately fly back in the bushes again.......junco's could care less whats around....birds....squirrels......deer.....if there's food around they are on it.....lol........Jack
