Good to here.
Jim Good to see you getting busy again. Next time on the flag pole project. bury a secure pole about 10' tall out of the surface and hinge the 2nd pole to it so when pulling down with rope the pole will rise . when the rising pole gets vertical have a clasp at bottom to bolt the 2 together.
I use the tractor and pulley at bottom of mast and just drive the tractor away and then lock the bottom pole to base.
Also cool here this morning. so staying in house.
Made it thru the Christmas and New Year so now just waiting for spring time .

Jim,
That rifle on top of the flag pole is a nice touch. What rifle is it?

Does it weather vane?Hi Lady,
That is a 100 caliber Falling Block, made by yours truly. Actually the Falling block ( Sliding Block Not to be confused with a rolling block.) receiver is real. Barrel is 1" conduit, Stock is sheet metal. They were lever action, but lever is bent metal strip, fore grip is an old metal chair leg. Magazine should not be there, falling blocks were single shot. The action is very similar to the Winchester "Low Wall" action. Center hammer.
