Vinegar, or lemon juice helps dissolve the uric acid build up in joints. I drink lemon juice daily - helps, but nothing does it all. I don't take anything else for my arthritis. Use a cane. Sleep is the best thing.

Thanks TC,
I discovered a new drink, "Madria Sangria", lady passing out samples at Fry's last week. Sort of a wine with citrus juice added. Sort of good, a little at a time.
Sure like the sleep suggestion. :D

A good & bad day. 10 O'clock 50 degrees out, but sun is shining. Hands hurt, but not real bad.
Air up low tires on truck. Spent more time finding inflating tools that worked than inflating.

Though local general store had propane tank exchanges. Nope.
Indian store, exchange $24.95 & to fill big tank $3.51 a gallon.
Went on to Waly-Mart exchange $18.92 + tax $40 & change for 2 tanks. Long, long line of bargain hunters. Oh Well
Local store propane $2.36 a gallon.

Took Mother Bobby & Little Brat with me. On the way home drove out in the desert about a 1/2 mile & let them run & hunt. Stayed about 1/2 hour & drank a beer. Stopped at a friends house & had a beer with him. Bobby & brat got run & hunt some more. His yard is not fenced.

Got new heater working. Pain in the butt. One plastic nob broken, with sharp edges. Hard to keep lit. Little push in button needs a very hard push & hold. Hurts!! Gone a make a cap for it.

One thing about it, life goes on.

Jim,
I haven't played around with a propane tank in a while. Are the fittings left handed threads, like the threads on an acetylene bottle?

On the cramping subject, I have heard eating mustard helps. I haven't tried that yet. There is also an over the counter medicine just for leg cramps. Believe it or not.................it's called "Leg Cramps".

Hi lady,
Always good to hear from you. Mustard - Humm - wonder who thought that up? Mustard company?
Have some potassium, zinc & magnesium pills. Seem to work pretty good if I remember to take them.

The threads on the valve that screws into the tank is standard RH pipe thread. 1 Problem is the valve is too big for 1 1/16" & loose with 1 1/8" wrench. Jaws on big crescent are too fat & deform the attach point. Was looking at McMaster-Carr on line, my big old chain wrenches cost $504 if bought new. The 18" crescent about $80. Whod a thunk it??

Got the 30 gallon propane tank hooked up today. Was going to wrestle it around by hand, baa, bad Idea. Bucket hooks on tractor make life so much easier.

Went out & gathered a little fire wood today. Should have got more, but am lazy. Now if it would just cut itself up.:D

Blocked off 8' of the end of the back deck & 2' down 1 side. Wind still comes through & keeps it pretty cold. Me & cold do not get along.

PITA for the day.
Right rear tire on truck is almost flat. Project for tomorrow. Baa Humbug.

Little Boy is so helpful, yea right. Trying to cut plywood for the deck. He sits down on it & sticks his nose where I'm trying to cut Then he tries to steal my gloves.
Little Brat sits on plywood & needs petting. So Little Boy rubs my back then my side and almost pushes me over. OH well it keeps life interesting. :dance1:

Autozone sometimes rents tools. But it may only be specialty tools and this may not qualify.

Try your 1 1/8 wrench with a sheet metal shim.

Jim,
Do you have a pipe wrench? We always call them Monkey wrenches.

Thanks Folks,
Got er done.
Put the 4+ foot handle through the holes in the protector . 4 Foot pipe on 18" crescent & it came right out, sort of. Had make a full turn or more then it got finger loose.
Other tank was 1 1/8 inch, with the wrench & 4' pipe it soon loosened up.
Found 2 OPD valves on eBay for $36 & they are on their way.

I'm now tank poor. But it sure will be nice staying warm. :cool2:

More later.
