Backhoes, Simultaneous Action Possible?

ANDY,
when you look at a backhoe you see that
it is not possible to go from left to right in
a 270 degree arc. i think 180 degrees would
be about the limit, unless it is a trackhoe. i
understand some of these will do a 360.
i would suggest keep up your research. this
is what i am doing. i plan to build one of these
for my tractor also.

180 degrees is not the limit. Some backhoes like the Danish Hydrema has an incredible swing, you can almost tutch your own rear wheels with it. This can be done in different ways, using a chain connected to a hyd. cyl, and a sprocket on the hoe, or an extra link making the swing beyond 180 degrees possible. The extra swing beyond 180 degrees makes a big difference in practical use.
Look for different solutions at different dealers!
