i would like to buy a backhoe for my L3000DT. do i have to buy a KUBOTA,
or will other brands fit?

You can buy a backhoe from various equipment manufacturers, including Kubota... many users here have 3rd party backhoes, from companies like Woods, Bush Hog, Kelly, Bradco, et al. Each manufacturer will have mounting kits if needed, and recommend a specific model for your tractor's horsepower range. One of the more popular backhoes for your tractor would be the Woods 7500...
