Backhoe Backhoe Thumbs

Anyone out there have any insight with the CDP backhoe thumb kit?

I purchased one a couple of years ago. Takes a couple of hours to weld as you want to make sure it is square/straight. I had it on my 3.5 ton Daewoo excavator for 6-8 months. It is now on my Kx91-3 excavator. The only issue I have is it has become a little loose over time. It rattles a little when pinned up in place. I would buy another as this one has had a lot of use and held up pretty good.

I believe they now offer one completed and still offer the $20 discount that I negotiated for TBN members. Others have also posted they like the thumb.

I got one a few month ago. they come assembled now. The weld job is not that great, but will do the job. I got the smallest one which weights about 35 lbs. but is strong. I put it on my ck30hst with a 7 1/2 foot backhoe. You will need to grind down the weld on the dip stick of the backhoe to mount the holding plates to get a clean mount and weld. If you scroll down the forms you will see my post and pics of it attached to my tractor. very handy for picking up rocks and logs. just don't over do it. you may find you can pick up rocks larger than the backhoe joints can handle.
