Since my new 6168 didn't come with any feet, I made some. Apparently LS doesn't even offer them as an upgrade even though I think the Bigfoot pads you can get from a Kioti dealer would fit.
Pretty simple design, but they took more time than I thought. That's how it always works around here anyway.

I need to get a couple more bolts and they will be done.

I use the metal that was between the rail & tie on a train track. Flip up or turn over for more grip.

Got any pictures? I'm interested in what others have come up with. My google-fu must be weak because I couldn't find more than a couple home made solutions.

My solution, 3 inch channel iron. I made them from that because it is what I had laying around.

George, I really like how simple and elegant your solution is. It looks like they would provide excellent traction fore and aft. Do they help provide much lateral support against moving the tractor sideways?

I haven't noticed any sideways movement with the outriggers down, I was more concerned dragging the whole machine backwards while digging. Everything stays as stable as can be. I had a 3 point hitch backhoe on the back of my John Deere before I bought this LS and I could drag myself all over the place with that one. When I made these I thought about boxing them in like you did, but I find these do not pack full of mud and clay. When I ordered the hoe last November they told me it would come with rubber pads, but the dealer told me to expect to rub the rubber right off with the first hard dig. He said he would replace them under warrantee once, but even the new ones would rub off. He said it is a terrible design. Then when they put the hoe on in April there were no rubber pads. I asked and he said that he doesn't think LS supplies them any more, they had to replace so many of them. I didn't want rubber anyway, I have no hard surfaces to work on the these work out fine for me.
