Backhoe KB2485 Relief valve setting

Hi,
Does anyone know the relief valve setting for this type of Kioti backhoe? Also if there is a port relief setting? A dealer told me I could max out the relief valve (so it doesn't relieve) and rely on the tractors relief setting which is ~2770 PSI, you can increase the hydraulic pressure about 10% safely on most machines, so I do believe the dealer when he says I can use the tractors relief instead of the Hoe's. This will give a bit me more hydraulic pressure to the hoe.

The dealer should know what the setting is for that unit. You could probably find out by looking up the unit part number.

I have the KB2375 on a CK30hst. It has a relief valve on the control assembly valves. Yours should too. Mine was set at 2100psi and the tractor is 2550psi. Yours is the heavier bh so it may be set higher. I haven't changed mine but there is an adjustment. I didn't adjust it because I'd rather have the bh valve do the work rather than the tractor valve. I guess if you measure well, you could have the bh valve a little under the tractor valve.

Ever since I was s kid and raced motocross I’ve always been of the opinion that factory settings are what they are for a reason and I don’t mess with them. Once you change one bit another bit can be adversely affected. My 2 cents. Of course things like air pressure in forks and tire pressure and the like are meant to be tunable. But relief valve pressure on backhoe is one Thing I’d not change. I’d hate to ruin a cylinder or crack a weld or prematurely wear pins etc.

It always baffles me why someone would trust a dealer, who is basically a salesman, or maybe a mechanic, instead of the factory engineers who design, and more importantly, qualify and deal with monthly warranty reviews of failed components.

If increasing relief pressure 10% was without risk of adverse consequences, they would do it at the factory.
