Well guess I'm having too much fun if I'm think about adding a backhoe. Looking at Woods 9000 and Bradco 611 with chassis mounts. Anyone have knowledge on the subject?

John,
Now you want to double your fun w/ a backhoe. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Have you look into a NH 758C backhoe to match your tractor?

Hope you get more seat time. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Thomas,

My dealer doesn't have anthing on the 758C and neither does the NH web site. In addition, I have read that people arn't too impressed the the smaller NH backhoes for the Boomer. Do you have any knowledge/experience. I plan to work it hard and dig deep.

The dealership I work for has 2 class III TC's out with Bradco hoes installed, as well as several skidloaders and 1920 & 2120's equipped with Bradco hoes. As a group, Bradco equipment is about the most well-designed & built and trouble free short line equipment I have ever dealt with. And the owners love it.

Rick,

Thanks for the response. Do you know if any of the TC's had the Bradco 611's installed. I ask because the 611 is 1300 pounds and wonder if will be too heavy for the TC45D.

Hello Rick and John,
Does a "class III" TC include the TC35D and would it be capable of efficiently handling the same Bradco models you recommended for the TC45? My dealer really didn't have much info on the NH backhoes either. Are they really such "dogs" that even the NH dealers don't want to sell them?

Class III TC's are the large frame models TC35,40, & 45, and the variations thereof. There is nothing 'wrong' with a 758C hoe. We have a few out on 2120's. The Bradco units are much heavier built, with better transport ground clearance. I am not in sales, but I would venture a guess the Bradco hoes command a higher price than a 758C similarly equipped.

RickB,

I've got a 759C for my 2120. Very rugged hoe. Has done about 100 hours of field stone placement (with thumb) and have had no major problems. See attachment file. I was looking at the class III boomers but the backhoes were not large enough for what I needed to do. That's one of the reasons why I went with a 2120.

Derek, how does the thumb fold back when not in use? Do you need to take strut off to fold the thumb?
Does New Holland make the hoe or do they have some else make it for them?
thanks again,
george

George,

The rod must be removed to fold up the thumb. The pins have a collar on them with a 3/8 bolt and nut holding them on. With the two holes you can change the angle of the thumb. I like it best in the lower one. When the thumb is in storage you just need one pin in the uppper hole. I plan on making a mount or something (on the main part)to store the thumb rod.

I don't thing thay NH makes the hoe. There was a discussion (can't find it) that ta;lked about who makes it.

Sorry for the late post. Been really busy at work.

Derek
